What a special stay! We spent one night, and the food was the best we've had in Sri Lanka, especially that celery soup. The views from the deck are a must-see, but we wished for better water pressure in the shower.

very nice terrace views, beautiful swimming pool, scenic walks from the hotel
The bathroom felt outdated, though it was clean!!! Water pressure in the shower could use improvement!!! The hot water took ages to arrive, which was frustrating during mornings!!! Room decor could be fresher, it felt a bit stale!!!

The setting was fabulous, surrounded by amazing views and great opportunities for walks right from the hotel. The hosts were friendly, and the food at all meals was lovely. Our pet dog also loved the outdoor space!
My kids wished there were more activities for them to enjoy.

Ideal for those seeking tranquility
We spent 2 nights in the Deluxe Double or Twin Room with Mountain View 2, and it was simply unforgettable. The views from our balcony? Breathtaking, they changed every minute. The food was like nothing I ever tasted, with a special mention to the chefs who whipped up meals that belong in a fine dining restaurant.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but for a place like this, it's still acceptable.

Excellent hotel with its free wi-fi, restaurant, and outdoor swimming pool. The staff even helped me find my lost ID card during my first stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway. I'm excited to return for a business trip!

rangala house is seriously a magical place! the views from the terrace are just beyond belief, and you can spend ur whole day just chillin there. the staff are super welcoming and they go out of their way to make sure u have everything u need. i loved how they organized our hikes and made sure there were lots of tasty vegan options in the meals. The food was just wow, especially breakfast! the pool is big enough to actually swim in, feeling like a little paradise.
but the bathroom could use a bit of updating, and sometimes the hot water took a while to come through in the mornings.

Spectacular mountain views and delicious home-made sweets were highlights of my family stay. The location is perfect for enjoying long hikes and soaking in the natural beauty, though the bathroom felt somewhat outdated and the hot water took a while to reach the shower. While these factors could detract from the experience, the welcoming staff and excellent chef compensated for some of the inconveniences.

Our group had an amazing time here! The views are breathtaking, and we enjoyed several hikes from the house, including the stunning Knuckles Conservation Area. The food was hands down the best we'd had in Sri Lanka! Don't miss the evening cultural show and the lovely outdoor pool.
One thing to note is that there wasn't a wood-burning fireplace in our room, which was a bummer since we were looking forward to cozy evenings.
